Our Mission
Our goal is to promote the shooting sports, foster safe and competent firearms
handling, promote the art of practical shooting and provide a safe and fun environment for competitors to learn and hone their
skills.
Our History
Pecos Valley Action Shooters originated in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The club was moved to Roswell around 1995. It remained a USPSA
affiliated club for a number of years. The affiliation was dropped around 2001 but the club remained active putting
on local monthly matches at the Roswell Gun Club although not under the USPSA banner. In September of 2007, club members
elected a new Match Director and expressed interest in reafilliating with USPSA. Upon approval of the Roswell Gun Club,
and adoption of this match as a RGC match, our new MD, Danny Moore has taken up the reigns and as of February, 2008,
here we are, NM-01, one of the newest USPSA affilliated clubs in New Mexico.
New Shooters
We are very happy to have had many new shooters come out and give
this sport a try. There are many experienced shooters that will help you out, coach you through your first match, give
advice on gear and equipment and help in anyway they can. So come on out and watch or shoot a match and meet some
really nice folks.
